Technical Textile Testing
We monitor the performance, functionality, safety, and comfort of protective clothing, sportswear, and textiles used in transportation, medical, upholstery, as well as environmentally friendly textiles.
PROTECH
In our laboratories, we evaluate the performance of:
- PPE against flame, heat, and molten metal splashes
- High-visibility clothing (HVC)
- PPE against mechanical hazards
- PPE against weather, wind, and cold
- PPE against chemical hazards
- PPE against electrostatic risks
MEDITECH
Thanks to their barrier effect, absorption capacity, biocompatibility, and compression ability, technical textiles in the medical sector — where research is very active — meet multiple functional criteria. This sector is expected to see many spectacular developments, including antibacterial fabrics, waterproof-breathable fabrics, biopolymer textiles, and more.
CLOTHTECH
Clothtech refers to smart clothing that incorporates computing, digital, or electronic components. They can detect and analyze signals to respond accordingly. Thus, they can be described as textiles capable of “self-reacting” by adapting to their environment.
HOMETECH
Hometechs are textiles widely used in upholstery with high performance features: sun protection, fire-resistant carpeting, wall coverings, flooring, and more.
MOBILTECH
Mobiltechs are high-performance technical textiles used in the transportation sector (automotive, aeronautics, etc.), for example in the manufacture of seats, coverings, airbags, and more.
At TTS laboratories, we ensure the control of all physical, mechanical, and chemical parameters of textiles as well as composite materials (testing tensile strength, bending, compression, flammability, safety, and more).
OEKOTECH / ECOTECH
Textile products designed for environmental protection applications are known as Oekotech or Ecotech. These are environmentally friendly technical textiles.
